My Philosophy on Relationships

I believe relationships are comparable to athletic endeavors—much like playing football or any sport you enjoy. To maintain a certain level of proficiency, consistent practice is essential. To improve and excel, dedicated practice becomes even more crucial.

In our relationship journeys, we often develop certain interaction patterns. Some of these patterns, while perhaps effective in the short term for achieving immediate goals, may ultimately prove dysfunctional for the relationship’s long-term health. Similar to an athlete who has developed improper technique, we may find that strategies that once seemed to work are now hindering our ability to function effectively as part of a team.

Passionate about relationships

Following my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, I pursued specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) while simultaneously working as a research assistant at the University of Oslo. This period of academic and clinical development allowed me to bridge theoretical research with practical therapeutic approaches. I have also been working with families and children with Autism Spectrum Disorders for many years – which is another heartsfelt task.

This experience has been a profound area of professional passion, providing me with unique insights into complex family dynamics and communication challenges. My work in this field has developed a nuanced understanding of interpersonal relationships, communication patterns, and family support strategies.
